In which it was told that in place of Jason Gillespie, former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed can be appointed as the coach of all formats of Pakistan. Jason Gillespie is currently the Test coach of Pakistan and is working as a temporary white-ball coach in the ongoing series against Australia. According to the report, Gillespie will be relieved of all coaching responsibilities.
Aaqib Javed was recently appointed the convener of Pakistan Cricket Selection Committee. Now it is expected that he will take over the post of head coach of Pakistan cricket team. According to the report, Aaqib can be officially appointed as the head coach on Monday, the day of the third and final T20 match between Pakistan and Australia.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier considered appointing Jason Gillespie as the coach of all formats. But he was later offered the additional responsibility of white ball coach without any change in fees, which Gillespie rejected. After this the PCB decided to remove Gillespie from the post of Test coach also.
